The Truth About Your Calling With Seth Godin & Marie Forleo
Not everyone believes this but the emotional and mental aspects of a person, when combined, leads to a better self.
Emotions love to dominate our actions and reactions, even though we do not want it to happen sometimes. The society often see emotions as a sign of weakness, so people are used to putting them aside and focusing on the rational aspects more and more. No matter how strict and logical you may be, you will always feel. One way or another, someone or something will get through you. Expect to make some mistakes when you try new and different approaches. Sometimes colossal failures lead to spectacular successes.
I'm going to have setbacks and failures; I'm not going to see change right away all of the time or most of the time. But everybody I've ever respected has failed at one thing or another. (Watch Marie Forleo speaking with Seth Godin. Amazing Talk!) I've definitely fallen on my face. But I've also had a comparatively easy life.
People tend to put their positive emotions behind their negative feelings. This is one of the biggest problems that people come across during their lives.
There is no clear way to ignore a negative experience and try to replace it with a positive one. Life just does not work that way.
It's important to celebrate your failures as much as your successes. If you celebrate your failures really well, and if you get to the motto and say,
'Wow, I failed,
I was wrong,
I learned something,'
then you realize you have no fear, and when your fear goes away, you can move the world.
We don't grow unless we take risks. Any successful company is riddled with failures.
Do not take yourself too seriously. You have to learn not to be dismayed at making mistakes. No human being can avoid failures.
